How rankings work
Methodology
Public data in, ranking out. Money never touches the order.
- Sources: Skool public discovery listing (skool.com/discovery, server-rendered member counts and prices); Whop public listings. Never invented: if a count is not publicly visible, it is left blank.
- Snapshots: a script re-fetches public counts weekly and appends a dated snapshot. First snapshot: 2026-10-16.
- Growth: % change in members from first to latest snapshot (weekly change once multiple weeks exist). Communities without counts are unranked.
- Verified flag: verified = count/price read directly from the platform's own page on date_checked; pending = from self-reported copy or third-party pages.
- Niches are assigned by keyword from name/description and may be imperfect.
- Why: existing directories (KoolReviews, Skoolmakers) list communities but do not track growth over time.
- Paid placements: "Featured" and "Sponsored" items are labeled and shown outside the leaderboard table. Affiliate links never affect rank. See affiliate disclosure.
